Better than prescription gels and lotons
I suffer from frequent cracks in my fingertips and lately I experienced rough painful skin that spread down the rest of my fingers. My fingers were as rough as sandpaper. I use gloves for any washing up, no harsh chemicals, lots of lotion applied multiple times a day – nothing helped. I saw a dermatologist who prescribed a gel and a lotion to use morning and night. Not only didn’t help, but made the condition worse, and they cost $160!! As a throw-away comment, she suggested I might also try CeraVe SA cream (non prescription OTC cream, around $22ish bucks). BOOM – cracks gone, fingers and whole hand smooth as a baby’s bottom. I’m thrilled to not have alligator fingers anymore, and will continue to use this cream, it’s great!

This moisturizing cream is even better than I thought having been using it on my 98-year-old Mom
I have been using this moisturizing cream for my 98-year-old Mom after baths since she moved in with us 7 years ago. When she first move in with us at 92 years, I couldn’t believe what the skin on the back of her thighs looked like. The skin was tough and hard, and looked like elephant hide. This was something I had never seen before. After a couple of months of using this cream, the skin on her legs looked like normal skin.For her age, Mom’s skin has looked healthy, and people have commented how good her overall skin looks. It wasn’t until recently that I used this cream on myself and fully realized how good it is. I had contacted poison ivy, and my reaction was exceptionally bad. I broke out in a welted rash and blistered sores that itched like crazy. A Prednisone prescription from the doctor stopped the blistering, but the red welts and patches continued to spread. This spread to both arms, both legs, torso, and my face. Since most itch creams are designed to dry the oils of poison ivy, my skin all over was flaking and and felt dried an taut.I decided to try this cream for some relief and the results were amazing. I put it on all of the dried areas, and relief was almost immediate. At first, I used it 3 times per day, and within a couple of days the redness started to go away and the dry skin was no longer dry or swollen.After this experience, I will use this after my baths to moisturize my skin. Since it worked so well for the extreme conditions I experienced, I’m sure it would be beneficial in moisturizing my skin as well as my mother’s. Since I am now 72 year’s old, I should probably take care of my body skin as well as my mother’s.UPDATE 10/12/21:I am now almost 75 years old, and had noticed the skin on my elbows had become dry and cracked to the point of developing scabs. A couple of months ago, I started using this cream on my elbows. Now, a couple of months later, not only are the scabs gone, but my elbows are no longer dry and cracked. Good product
So, I have used couple of different exfoliating shower scrubs to get rid of the strawberry skin, body creams and lotions, but nothing did seemed to give fast and good results. This cream has helped tremendously. It is a little sticky and takes a while to absorb, but it does not bother me. It has a good price as well. Very adorable in my opinion.I used it once a day, or once in every two days. I apply it only in the affected areas.I will definitely be using this product.

Does what it promises
Great cream. Smells do not bother me but this one has no smell and while it thicker/heavier cream it doesn’t feel thick on my skin which I like because I can use it even in the summer months. It leaves my skin very soft and a smooth.

I’m moist but not greasy. Yea!
I have very dry feet, hands and bumpy elbows. However, I cannot stand the greasy feeling that some creams leave behind. CeraVe does not do that it is also quite gentle. In fact their products are now household staples with a bottle of lotion sitting in the kitchen. Once you try it you will know why they are top sellers.

This is what my dermatologist recommended to buy. It works wonderful. She also suggested that I put it on and put a warm towel over the area. This really helps it soak in and do its job. I have bought this more than once and it is worth every penny. my skin feels so soft and healthy now.

Facial dandruff
Started using this cream along with the matching face wash. I can definitely say it has made a difference in my skin. It is a lot less red, more smooth and less dry. I’m not sure how much the product would work on it on as I am using it along with the face wash well. Not sure if it’s because I have sensitive skin or if it was just my face getting used to a new product but it did have a slight burning sensation the first two times that I used it which is now gone

Incredibly soothing lotion
I began to use this lotion three years ago and was amazed at how soothing it is on rough skin. The cost kept going up and up, so I switched to a different lotion that was less expensive. I like the new lotion, but I missed the soothing quality of the Cere Ve for bumpy skin. It must be the salicylic acid, the ingredient in aspirin. I still look for sale prices, so when I find one, I will try to buy Cere Ve as I can. Just received my new jar and can’t wait to use it again.

I have been suffering from KP bumps and ingrown hairs for a really long time ( over a decade now). I have tried so many things to get rid of these bumps. A little background into my personal situation is that I have a milk chocolate skin tone and it is generally very silky smooth. My skins main issue beside the KP is that my skin is very sensitive and prone to dryness ( I have read that KP and ingrown hairs are common in those who have sensitive skin since KP is a overproduction of keritin to protect the skin [is the guess] but it is genetic and usually rarely goes away for most [ contrary to popular belief]). So I have had these bumps for so long and I have tried exfoliates and moisturizers but in vain. My problem areas are the backs of my arms especially around the elbows,the front of my thighs and the most severe place is the bottom half of my legs around the knee area. My main issue was to smooth the bumpy texture of these bumps. I always used shower puffs and Aveeno ( as my general daily moisturizer I still use it) and most recently Goldbond for Rough and Bumpy Skin. The Goldbond moisterizer was a 6/10 because it really aided the bumps on my thighs and the back of my arm but did nothing for my most severe location by my knees. After I waxed again ingrown hairs arrived on my thighs and the Goldbond did nothing so I decided to find a new solution. I always used Cerave products but the price on this lotion really had me holding back from trying it but I finally did and I am so glad I did. I have been using to for only a month now but within the first few days there was a noticeable change and the bumps are all smoothed out. Unlike other moisturizers like the Goldbond it does not peel off and for a thick lotion it absorbs quickly into the skin. I use it every day, after I shower I just stand for about 5 minutes to make sure it fully absorbs and I thought I would never feel my silky smooth skin on my legs again but I finally did! I paired the Cerave with exfoliation for maximum results used Earth Therapeutics Hydro Exfoliating glove as well and Gigi no bumps body scrub and both of them left my skin sooooo soft after showering but the Cerave just got rid of the rest of the bumps. I strongly recommend this for anyone suffering from KP and ingrown hairs! Especially if you have a bump issue. I am dark skin so the appearance of KP bumps discoloration is not to noticeable on my skin but I did notice a little fade in discoloration but not a whole lot so far after 2 weeks or so all my bumps smoothed and only time will tell if the discoloration will go away signifcantly. Overall a 10/10! 5 stars! I can’t believe it works! I recommend it to anyone but remember to exfoliate as well for best results. Hope this long review helps someone.UPDATE 2/6/2017: ( The picture is from the beginning of 2017. After using the product for a few months after purchasing it in 2015, this was my results and they have been consistant since [throughout the rest of 2015-2016 and now 2017].) After using this product for about almost two years now it has worked very well! I regret not taking before shots because I assumed like all the other products I tried that it would not work or do anything, so there was no point! Ugh! I regret it! This product still works for me and I am happy my skin has not adjusted to it. My routine is the same,an exfoliating glove, dove soap, my GiGi scrub and Aveeno lotion that is fragrance free. I was about once a month because I generally am not harry and I exfoliate before and after my waxes and I use this to moisturize for about a week after my wax. I also use it randomly, especially when cold even if it has been weeks since I waxed. My bumps are still visible, but has lightened only slightly. I have darker skin so they do not show up anyways. Like I said before my texture and the feel of the bumps was my concern and still is. This product has left my skin soooo smooth I feel like I never had KP bumps! My final verdict is that this is perfect for smoothing those bumps, but if you are concern with discoloration this will help but you will need something extra. However, this is still great for those with dry, KP and ingrown hair prone skin. Hope I helped 🙂

seems to work quickly
I’ve been using CeraVe regular moisturizing cream for a long time. This version with special additives seems to be more effective and acts more quickly on very distressed skin.The only negative is that this jar is only 12 oz. whereas the old jar of regular product is 16 oz. I hadn’t noticed when ordering. However, it’s so effective that I’m still quite happy with my purchase.

If you have dry skin and a bit of patience, here is the product for you.
Don’t freak out, this won’t get super personal, but I will go on a multipath rant to make a small point. I got out of a week’s stay in a hospital, and their sheets make my skin super dry. Like so dry, that my skin appeared “ashy”, and I didn’t know my skin could do that (I know, some things I get to learn later in life, but I got to learn some things early that you hopefully will never get to learn about). I Amazoned this MOISTURIZING CREAM to be waiting for me when I got home.A quick trip off the main point again: I love the CerVe line; my Aunt turned me onto it when she was starting as an esthetician and overhauled my skin routine (wash, toner, serum, day/night cream – morning and night, every day, until the day I die… She is in her 50s and looks 28, no joke, you’d be floored if you met her. Lord almighty, I hope I got some of those genes in me).Okay, back to the main point… The CREAM does start out a little greasy, but will “dry” to that baby-soft skin you used to have. I put the CREAM (I’m doing this on purpose, keep reading, you’ll see why) on at night, and then I put on one of those Christmas pajamas from my Mom that covers every inch of my body to reduce any risky looks in case I have to run out of the house in the middle of the night (I still think a tank top and cheeky underwear will be just fine for the firefighters, but my Mom shuts down the argument when I retort at this and we get nowhere… and the pajamas seem to get larger and cover more area every year (again, not a joke, last year’s pajama set reminded me of Maude Flander’s (The Simpsons) flannel nightgown that covered her from neck to toe except my pajamas are blue and a little silkier than Maude’s wool flannel set). So lotioned and covered, I sleep in my cacoon for a night, and in the morning, I kid you not, my skin was so soft and no longer greasy, it was amazing! Imagine me forcing you to feel the top of my hand and you have to fake that interested grunt of approval but trying to hide the fear of being creeped out that a stranger is forcing you to feel and approve of their skin, no matter what.This isn’t a lotion, it is a CREAM, it is much heavier than lotion. Give it the patience to soak into that skin and penetrate that dry layer. Slather it on and wrap up in something comfy and wait it out and you should come back out baby smooth.

Rough knees
This works well on my knees rough patches. I kneel a lot at work and it makes me knees callus and red where I am on my knees. It has smoothed them considerably made them feel soft to the touch. Also put on my legs and it has made them silky smooth and gave my legs a healthy glow.

I love CeraVe products and I’ve never liked any kind of lotions till I tried CeraVe. I wanted to try the rough and bumpy because I’ve always had bumpy arms. It works! Great to prevent ingrowns
I have a major issue with ingrown after hair removal. Exfoliating helped but I still had problems. I started Exfoliating and then putting this on as a part of my hair removal routine. I’m thinking the salicylic acid is what’s helping. Idk the science but for african American course hair, it’s doing the trick!

Winter dry skin is gone
My dry skin in the winter was embarrassing and extremely uncomfortable until I began using this product. I use it once a day after showering. My dry skin cleared up after my first application. Additionally, the cream is not greasy unlike other creams.
