Love the product but
I definitely see a positive difference in my skin after a couple weeks, and the price is several dollars cheaper than in the store. HOWEVER, the tube did not come in a box and it was smashed a little.

Works fast, non-drying
I am a 56 yo woman with white light skin, mostly dry and sensitive. I have tried many other products, but have never found one that works this well and this fast. Even with thorough sunscreen practices, my skin gets color – uneven, muddy color & spots. With CeraVe, I saw results start within two weeks of application. It feels hydrating and it smells like honey, but the smell dissipates fast. It doesn’t irritate my skin (or eyes). I’ve spent a lot more for products from which I never saw results. I love this product and highly recommend it!!

I’ve ordered this a couple of times because I trust the brand but I swear every package that comes is a bit different. Sometimes the bottle is different, sometimes the texture of the serum is different, sometimes the smell is different. There really isn’t consistently with the product. Only reason I come back to it is because I trust the brand and I think it works pretty decent for the price compared to other Vitamin C’s

Different recipe
I’ve used this same vitamin C serum for a long time, so I turned on auto-ship to have it sent on a schedule. The most recent tube of serum I received looked completely the same on the outside but was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT recipe when I opened it to use it. I swear it had the texture and smell of cheap coco butter lotion. Returning asap.

Didn’t come in a box. So there’s no telling what the expiration date is exactly. But I do know that the older your vitamin c serum is the more orange in color the serum gets and mine already started turning orange!. I still had alittle left in my old one that hasn’t changed color!.

Tends to Pill
I like that this product is in a tube rather than a dropper to help prevent oxidization. It goes on easily and doesn’t seem to burn my skin like other Vitamin Cs (presumedly stronger) I’ve tried. However, when I use it in the morning and follow it will Cerave daily moisturizer with SPF 30, it starts to pill. You would think the two products would be compatible, but that was not my experience. I do like this product, so I’ve switched to using it at night instead and it works fine with nighttime moisturizers which leads me to believe the pilling has something to do with the SPF ingredients. I may try to add a different morning sunblock and see if I still have the same problem with pilling. If not, I’ll just keep it in my nighttime routine.

No more redness!
I turn 40 in just a few days. I’ve always had redness here and there on my face & it has been the main reason I use foundation. After just 1 month, I don’t even need foundation!This before & after is exactly 30 days apart. The redness on the left photos is virtually gone! On the right photos, I colored in my brows (not so well lol) & had on some mascara but absolutely no makeup on my actual skin. I can’t believe the difference in just 1 month!I am a skin care lover and this is my favorite product so far, for it’s noticeable, quick changes. It’s even better than very expensive products that I’ve purchased at dermatologist offices. I only wish that I took a “before” photo of my décolleté too bc I put this all the way down there, as well as on the tops of my hands & I swear my chest looks brighter as well!I don’t go outside or “purposely” tan a lot, but when I do, I get freckles and that leads to “old lady chest” lol and it’s getting better.I love this stuff so very much and never want to run out! I have been using this in combination with tretinoin (just not on the same nights) so it can only get better.This stuff is so great that I don’t even want to “risk” trying a different vitamin C serum, even those that had reviews from people saying that it’s better than this one. I just don’t even believe that another product could produce better results for me than this!On another note: I ran across this by accident a few months ago as I was debating on getting a skin bleaching cream, but I know that those can cause harm sometimes too. At my last freckle/mole checkup, I asked my dermatologist if it was ok to use a skin bleaching cream to brighten my skin or would it cover potential melanoma that needed to be found?Instead of answering me, he suggested I start seeing the aesthetician at the doctor instead. It really rubbed me the wrong way, because I felt like he did not want to answer my question but only sell me services. So I am SO glad I found this! Because I know that vitamin C is safe and I’m not getting my money drained like what the doctor tried to do.Don’t get me wrong—I would LOVE to regularly visit a professional aesthetician, but it’s like he tried to sell services instead of give me a straight (and very simple) answer on what to use to brighten my skin!It works & works quickly!

It really lightens the skin on your face!
First time buying a vitC, I was a little scared bc i always heard the scent can be pretty strong but this products is just perfect, its citrus smell is light… a good quality product for a good price, I’ve been using it for a month and I’m loving the results, my pimples tend to get hyperpigmented but this has helped me lighten them a lot, it has restored my personal confidence a little because I have received many compliments about it.

I love the CeaVe brand for everything
I use CeraVe brand for moisturizers and lotions so when I saw the Vitamin C Serum I had to try. I have actually purchased this previously in the store but then found it a little cheaper online so had to grab it. It came in a package not a box to the tube was crinkled but no holes so that’s good. I love this product I feel likeit really does brightens and plumps the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

A little tribute to this well-loved Vitamin C Serum!

This Vitamin C Serum really surprised me! As you can see from my photo, I squeezed the life out of this tube because I enjoyed it so much!Texture/Application: This has a light, creamy texture and was not as liquidy as most of the serums I use. (See video… and sorry for the moments of fuzziness! My camera didn’t want to focus!) It applies really smoothly, soaks into the skin and lays down nicely under makeup. No pilling or nonsense.Packaging: The active ingredient is L-Ascorbic acid, which is the most unstable form of Vitamin C, so I loved that it’s in an opaque metal tube that helps protect it from both air and light. (It’s a good size too, since l-ascorbic acid doesn’t live long!)Scent and Sensitivity: I think this has a very subtle, honey scent that was really pleasant and not overpowering. It didn’t linger so my face didn’t smell sweet all day. I have mild rosacea and perioral dermititis, so my skin can be sensitive but this didn’t irritate me at all. No redness and no bad reactions.Skin type: I have combination skin (oilier t-zone and drier cheeks) and it was especially nice and moisturizing on the drier parts of my face but didn’t make me look greasy. My guess is that this might be too moisturizing for my t-zone in the summer, but it’s perfect for these dry winter months!Overall impression: I think after two months of use, my skin looks brighter and more even. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it, especially for those with drier skin and people seeking a 10% l-ascorbic acid formula in practical packaging.

This serum brightens my skin, not by covering it with make-up, but by cleaning off the dull layer on the top. I have very thin skin that freckles easily and was worried it would burn, but it does not. Slight tingle lets me know it’s working, and I follow it up with CeraVe moisturizer.

Quality Vitamin C Serum from a Trusted Brand!!
I always buy CeraVe products because I have super sensitive skin and their products are known for using the least harsh ingredients to get the job done. My skin is sensitive, super oily but also super dry, combination, textured, and acne prone. This vitamin C serum is a part of my go-to morning routine. It isn’t harsh on my skin and doesn’t overdry (I use retinol at night so this is a big deal for me). It feels super smooth and light on skin, is a quality product from a trusted brand, and a decent price compared to other Vitamin C serums on the market. This helps brighten my skin and enhance the work of my retinol. Protip: if you notice your serum getting yellow over time like other reviewers have mentioned, this is a common issue with all vitamin C serums, as they oxidize over time quite easily and quickly. It means it is no longer as effective and you should discard. Overall, I highly recommend this serum!Hope this helps!

I absolutely love how my face feels soft smooth and hydrated
I think this is a great product so far, my face is smooth soft and hydrated without having to put daytime moisturizer spf on. I recommend doing it a few times a week at the beginning as it did make my face little red and even put it under eyes no burning or anything so it’s good for sensitive skin. After the first week apply it more often before your moisturizer and after cleanser and should be good. Would be 5 stars if it didn’t make face red but it’s not use to it so I understand somethings will do that so I’m waiting it out but I ABSOLUTELY love how my face feels!! Highly recommend just use only 3 times the first week.

I ordered this serum in the past and was not at all happy with what I ordered. Since then I reordered this item because it’s the only place online I can find to buy it, and I can say 100% the item was in better condition. They changed the packaging and the material that the bottle is made of. It arrived brand new with no damage whatsoever. I’m keeping my old review at the bottom of the new one for context. The first two pictures are from the old review. The last one is from my new purchase.OLD REVIEW:I ordered a serum and eye cream and both products arrived pre-opened, damaged, and with cuts in them. The cuts made the serum and eye cream leak all over the box.

Multi product review after wine drunk shopping
Story time!! I’m 30 years old and I’ve always had dry skin, prone to stretch marks, slight translucent, and occasional karatosis Pilaris (red, hard bumps, looks like mild acne on arms, chest, back, and butt, leg’s) . As a teen I never wore shorts because it was embarrassing not to have soft legs. They didn’t look bad, they just were kinda matte even with lotion. Recently I bought Cerave body wash and lotion at the store. My skin looked better, felt better, was so soft and normal. My bumps are gone. After a few glasses of wine I got on Amazon and ordered a bunch of Cerave products to try them out. I got the bar soap, face wash, bumpy skin lotion, bumpy body wash, the dark blue container for extremely dry skin, the pump jar, the day and night cream, and the vitamin C serum. Sober me was happy to see all of these products today. I took a shower and tried different ones and I love them all!!!! No after shower itchy skin from hot water, everything is so soft, no itching or burning from these products. Honestly I’ve bought so much stuff to help me. Even Aveeno gave me dry skin. Lotion, oil, vaseline, homemade natural stuff whipped up in my kitchen, nothing worked. Just from what I got at the store my skin looked like everyone else’s, but tonight it has that extra soft shine without being greasy. Products just soaked right in and my skin feel’s comfortable. Some products go better on damp skin. The moisturizing face wash is great but I used it after using the bar soap to remove makeup. The moisturizing face wash doesn’t foam up, so sometimes you’ll need something extra, but it is super moisturizing. The bar soap is great you have to really work up a lather at first but it’s so gentle, and moisturizing. I used it everywhere and when I got out of the shower I wasn’t dry and itchy, and this is before lotioning!! Night cream over vita C serum feels so good, not greasy vita C serum is thin, night cream is not heavy, soaked in quick face is so soft. Hang tried the day cream yet, but will tomorrow. Go to the drug store and buy a small lotion, if you like it then I highly suggest trying other thing’s, maybe before drinking a half bottle of Moscato. Since I bought so much stuff I’m posting the same comment on the other things I bought.
