Moisturizing, Fragrance Free, Not Oily
I have eczema with very itchy and sensitive skin so I’m always looking for products that will sooth my skin. This has been the best product I’ve tried in a long time.I was concerned because it said “creamy oil” that it would feel oily but it doesn’t at all. It feels like a thick moisturizer. It was very soothing on my skin and really cut down on the itchiness. It keeps my skin moist and protects it. I have a lot of trouble after I shower and this helps cut that dry itchy feeling immediately. To me, it seems completely fragrance free. So many anti-itch moisturizers I try have a medicinal or odd scent. As far as I can tell, I can detect no scent an all. That’s a big plus for me.A couple of caveats. This help keeps my skin moist but if you need intense moisturizing, this product is probably not for you. It definitely helps keep my skin from drying out and protects it but it’s not like a lotion. Also it is very thick so it may not spread easily. It does take a little while to sink into the skin but it does and then it’s not visible.

Relieves itching.
I’ve been using this product for many years with great success. Just spread a little of this on the area causing irritation, and it will solve the problem. A small amount goes along way to solve the problem.

Great and non-stinging
Both of my children have eczema, my three year olds is awful. His skin feels scaly, bumpy and sandpapery pretty much everywhere and he’s always scratching. I used Eucerin eczema cream (red letters) when it got really bad flare up, and CeraVe baby eczema lotion (blue letters) for everyday. While those both seemed to work, he would fight me and cry if I used the ‘red’ one, and fuss about the ‘blue’ but not nearly as bad. I could usually get the CeraVe on him. My older child explained to me that the lotions all sting. I don’t have eczema so I didn’t realize it was hurting so much. I bought this because my 3 yo had an awful all over eczema flare up and yeast after a round of antibiotics and he was not a happy camper. He also was NOT having any of either red or blue….so tried this out after bath, and oh my goodness, you should have seen this kids face. He was totally prepared to do battle about not having the stinging lotion but the giant relief smile he gave me after the first rub down was awesome. He happily stood there and pointed to all the itchy boo-boo places he needed this lotion. It went on thick and white but soaked in super quick with no oily residue. I could also tell a difference in the rough patches after just an hour of having it on, redness much improved. This product is great, helps the eczema feel better, with no stinging or uncomfortable feelings. Highly recommend, and only wish I’d found it sooner!

Received help from reviewers
Suddenly after getting bit by some weird bug I broke out with what turned out to be eczema all over my upper thighs. I never had this skin problem in over 60 years of living so I was crazed what to do. The itching and horrendous red sores had me crazed. And then Amazon reviewers told how this cream along with microbial spray (protects against bacteria until healing occurs) worked wonders on themselves and their kids who unfortunately have serious eczema or skin rashes on their bodies. I can say after using this cream religiously twice a day for nearly a month my skin disorder is almost all gone (first dermatologist appointment I could get was 6 weeks) by the time I can get to my dermatologist. Without a doubt this cream is a life saver ..first it relieves itching without burning, and slowly worked to get rid of the rash. Don’t expect miracles overnight but it definitely worked for me and I couldn’t be more relieved because my normal skin doctor’s patient schedule was useless in this case. Thank you amazon and all the folks who leave reviews in an effort to help others. Don’t hesitate to buy this great product it really works wonders.

This cream was the answer to my suffering!
I have eczema and I have tried everything on the market for relief from the burning and itching ! I have spend hundreds of dollars looking for any cream , oil, moisture , that would help me get my life back! I have been to 8 different doctors and no one could offer me any relief. My daughter bought this as a stocking stuffer for me this year , at the time I had a terrible outbreak of eczema and was really suffering! I tried it that night. It was like a Christmas Miracle! I had immediate relief from the burning a insane itching. . I am so please with the results and the size of the tube is super great too. It says oil but it don’t go on sticky and you can get dress in about a minute after use. Every week since I have seen an improvement in my shin , to the point it is almost healed up! . I have ordered 5 more tubes , I never want to run out of this cream! Thank you Cerava , for another great shin produce! I have ordered 5 more tubes!

THis goes beyond my expectations!
My eczema has been extreme, with several years of it being quite mild since childhood. A toxic environment I grew up in is one of the causes of it being so chronic. As an adult the extreme toxic environment was a contributor to my Eczema of continuing no matter what I did.I have since begin to understand the connection between anxiety/depression and my skin condition. I’ve been working on the mental health in tandem with using products that help soothe my eczema and help my skin regrow over the scabs and open wounds. This product is very good for my skin. I have calm down, and so has my inflammation. This makes it perfect for using this product on my skin as it is healing. Last night was the first time I didn’t have to use paper towels in my socks to absorb The fluid seeping out of my wounds. Tonight I will use this project product to continue the healing. As we know eczema is cyclical, and that most of the time before we get the scratching it, it hasn’t had time to completely heal. This product is utilizing the healing time efficiently. So that when I scratch the skin is not breaking, allowing me to itch less, and thus continue to heal. This means that if I’m able to control my anxiety at least for a week or two there was a chance I can clear up. But this product is very much helpful in this battle of this chronic disease. It does not need to have a scent for me because I only need it to help soothe and smooth my skin.

Best of the red label Cerave for my skin
I have used the red label cream, lotion, and now the oil. Of the three, this one is my favorite. For my occasional eczema breakout, I combine the cream with a prescription steroid cream. I don’t remember why I bought the lotion, but I don’t love it. It’s OK, a little difficult to spread evenly across the skin. The oil though, is the winner to me. It’s hard to say that the formula helps my skin feel better than the other two products in this line, but I think it does.As all the Cerave red label products, I appreciate that this oil is unscented.

Worked
After about a year, Mom had a patch on her leg and not one doctor was able to solve the problem. Within a few days of her using this cream that large patch improved with her using it several times a day. Perhaps it is the silver in there which many of us think it is great for health and/or works as a natural antibiotic. All I can say for sure is, not only did this cream clear up the problem but also reduced the swelling on that area.

Best eczema solution I’ve tried
I do not understand the really involved analyses of this product that seem to find nothing but fault. My experience: a very pleasant, very effective, simple addition to my daily routine. I love it.If you’re on the fence, I recommend you give it a try. I know it is pricey, but start out using half the amount of regular lotions. I did, and it’s still the right amount for me. I used it on my arms and legs about 10 minutes ago and other than feeling very smooth and soft, my skin doesn’t look or feel like I applied anything to it.My eczema seemed to get worse and worse during COVID, but I didn’t want to take anything for it, for fear of immunocompromise. I saw my dermatologist in February after I got vaccinated and a 10-day course of prednisone gave me a lot of relief. She urged me to start using Cerave and I am really glad I did. I think it may be why I have been able to remain comfortable since finishing my Rx.My husband is now using it to improve the feel and appearance of his badly sun-damaged arms. Years of water sports and golf have taken quite a toll and this is the first product I’ve been able to talk him into using.I sincerely hope you find Cerave to be helpful, too.

Great Cream and not sticky.
Really happy with this Cerave Eczema Relief Creamy Body Oil product! Goes on smoothly and dries nicely. Doesn’t leave my skin oily as I use it on my face for my Eczema. No strong scent and doesn’t bother my skin. I’m 58 and I’ve found that my once oily skin is now drier and I feel good about spreading this on my skin now to keep it moisturized. I’ll be buying more of this product!

It works
Ok folks. I have been dealing with sunburnt combined with dermatitis seborrheic in last four weeks. I have purchased & tried several products most of them dermatitis seborrheic friendly ( Organic Aloe Vera Gel – Seborrheic Dermatitis Cream with Manuka Honey – eczema redness relife – daily facial cleanser for sensetive skins – sunburnt cool down soothing lotion – cortizone – expensive facial cleanser – expensive body lotion, expensive extra rich body hydrator – expensive double duty face moisturizer – expensive sunscreen – active skin repair & even retinol plus my skin care medications ( Ketoconazole shampoo – Ciclopirox Olamine – Benzoyle proxide) but none of the worked well.Although your eczema might get worst from exposure to sunlight or chimicals like cologne ( I have tried to stay all weekend at home but it doesn’t help at all. It just got worst) but most of the time it just has ups & downs & it might spreads around the initially affected area on your skin.Someone mentioned that the new formula is not better than old one. It might be correct because I’ve never tried this product before I just got it few hours ago & it’s so effective.Don’t worry about the alcohol in inactive ingredients. The cream just burn a little bit at the beginning ( that made me worry for a second ) but then cools off quickly.Based on my research these are main great ingredients in this products:Hyaluronic Acid: maintaining skin hydrationColloidal Oatmeal: locks in moistureFragrance-freeParaben-freeDye-freeYou might hear that you need a thicker cream that temporay acts like a second skin (Ignore it)This product is not harsh at all it’s pretty safe to use without testing but you know that you can always test it. right!?Always put on your suncreen ( enough sunscreen! ) & If you got sunburnt don’t ignore it.

Soothing
A bit expensive but it does help greatly with the itching patches. This is not prescription strength so it does not eliminate the affected areas, but it does make them feel better. It is creamy – not oily- and easy to apply.

The ultimate cream for cracked, dry hands!
This is the bomb! I thought this brand’s regular moisturizing cream was the best until I purchased this for a friend with eczema. Due to wearing gloves, hand sanitizers and the cold I couldn’t get complete relief from dry hands until this product. It doesn’t leave an oily/greasy feeling. I just love it!

Helps but can be sticky if you use too much
Put less of this on your skin than you think you need or it ends up sticky. I just use this as a spot treatment on my eczema patches and Cerave regular moisturizer on non affected skin. A little goes a long way with this moisturizer but it does help calm those eczema patches.

My 3 year old has eczema. Milk makes it much worse but we needed a way to help her skin moisture and heal. After 1, not kidding, 1 application it looked sooooooo much better!Another plus, she didn’t cry when we put it on. Every other lotion or cream, she would complain that it burned. Not this one.

AMAZING
I got this for my 2 year old with really bad eczema. It’s especially bad on this feet. We’ve used other lotions, vaseline and even a prescription oil and we were still battling red, inflamed, itchy feet. He would scratch so much he would break the skin and was covered in scabs. We used this the first night we got it and the next morning his feet were almost completely healed!! The only spots left were scabs from previous “scratching cuts”… I really wish we had taken before and after photos!! This stuff is amazing.

Inferior lotion for dry, flaking, itchy skin
I developed a skin condition similar to eczema over a year ago. The skin on my hands and random other areas of my face, neck, and body gets red and inflamed, becomes very itchy, then becomes dry and flakes off. The itchiness makes it hard to avoid scratching, which of course damages it, making both the inflammation and the flaking worse. I’ve tried various lotions and creams (also salves and oils) to reduce the itching and/or relieve the dry flakiness. This was one of them.YMMV, but for me, this was not effective at all. It feels good going on but within ~15 minutes, it dries out and my skin itches worse than before. Because it was so expensive and ceramides are supposed to be so effective, I kept trying it, using up about half the tube before I just couldn’t bear it anymore. I mean I couldn’t bear how incredibly itchy this stuff made my skin as it dried out a short while after applying it.I did find a simple analgesic lotion that’s effective and that plus smooth gloves made it possible for me to sleep without being wakened by unbearable itchiness. This Cera Via cream, however, only made the condition worse. As I said, YMMV, but my experience with this stuff was not good.

It works
It’s really strange because it doesn’t feel like it’s moisturizing, but it definitely heals my really bad skin, I had some flakiness on my feet that started to bleed. I put this stuff on it and in 2 days it was much much better. So I guess it actually is moisturizing, I also use Retin-A and that can make your skin a little flaky on your face and I use it on my face and it stopped the flakiness

It’s really just lotion
Overall, I’m disappointed with this product. I guess the reviews I had been reading were based on an older formula so when this arrived, and it was basically just a colloidal oatmeal lotion, I was bummed. It is neither “creamy” nor “oil” like in texture. You can get lotions like this from other brands for less. The tube notes “lightweight” but to me it’s on the thicker side for a lotion. I will continue to use it but after reading more reviews, it seems like somewhere along the line the product was changed in previous years has were also disappointed.

Good but wish it was thicker
My bad when purchasing, didn’t realize this was a “lighter” lotion. I’m looking for something super thick to help moisturize my son’s eczema spots, and this lotion is great. It moisturizes, absorbs well, not oily at all, no smell or perfume, and gentle on my son’s skin. But just wish it was more heavy duty.

This stuff is golden!
After trying countless prescriptions and OTC products for my eczema, all with little to no results, I read the reviews for this product and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! Finally, I’ve found something that works! Within 24 hours, I noticed a dramatic improvement, and, over the next few days, my skin looks normal again. The scaliness and itching are gone. I highly recommend this product for anyone who suffers from eczema or just dryness and itching. I will never be without it again!

Unobtrusive, non-greasy, but not as effective as I had expected
This preparation is easily absorbed and leaves no greasy feel on the skin at all. It seems to be okay as a moisturizer, but its effectiveness is not even close to the effectiveness of other moisturizers I have used. Eucerin’s greasy eczema cream, for example, seems to work longer and does more to promote healing. ShiKai’s lotion with borage oil feels similar to this but seems to be more effective.

It worked really well!
I have occasional eczema flareups that are itch and uncomfortable, and this lotion worked really well! It stung a little tiny bit when I first applied it, but within a few days of applying it twice a day my exzema is gone. I’m really impressed. And the bottle is really big, so I’m set for a long time. It was gentle enough that I was able to use it on my eyelids with great success as well!
